Photofusion
Photofusion Photography CentrePhotofusion is a non-profit photography gallery and training centre that promotes the enjoyment, appreciation and critical understanding of photographic-based arts through exhibitions and related activities.
They are committed to exhibiting a broad range of work with an emphasis on promoting diversity within the photographic arts, encompassing both chemical and digital media, alongside current debates around photography and society. They have established a growing reputation for showcasing work that looks beyond photography’s traditional forms towards innovative ways of using the medium and extending its vocabulary. They encourage work that has a strong thematic basis dealing with contemporary issues - whether social or aesthetic - or that reassesses historical themes and perspectives.
Photofusion presents up to 8 exhibitions each year to our continually expanding audience, supported by a programme of educational and interpretive events. Reflecting our equal opportunities policies, our programme seeks to encourage access, participation, dialogue and understanding of key cultural issues and of contemporary lens-based and digital art. Aimed at audiences of all ages and backgrounds, they represent this from a local, national and international perspective.
